About the Publisher

Rockwood Publishing was founded on a simple belief: that the best stories for young readers are warm, fast, brave, and just a little bit impossible. We publish full-color illustrated adventures, the kind a young reader finishes in one sitting and an adult quietly reads twice.

The Rockwood Boys began as family stories, handed down across kitchen tables and front porches for three generations, about a real boy named Clive North Rockwood and the brothers he ran the streets of 1920s Salt Lake City with. Teenage Monster Hunter reaches for older readers and a darker kind of courage. Both are built on the same foundation: heart, humor, and the quiet conviction that doing right matters, especially when no one is watching.

David John Kosorok, author of The Rockwood Boys

About the Author

David John Kosorok is the author of The Rockwood Boys. He grew up on the stories his grandfather told, about Clive Rockwood, a Salt Lake City boy in the 1920s with a knack for trouble and a bigger knack for getting back out of it, and the tales got a little taller with every telling. Those stories, and his own family's history, are the spark behind the series. The adventures are invented; the heart is real, borrowed from the people he comes from.

Born in Washington State, David came to Utah for college at Brigham Young University and made it home. He lives with his family in the shadow of the same mountains the Rockwood boys are forever climbing, and writes the kind of books he would have torn through as a kid.

Away from fiction, David is a longtime software and security leader and the author of Mastering Application Security: Building Elite Teams for Tomorrow's Threats.
